How the garage, audio, atmosphere, counters, and other public features work.
What can I do in the garage?
The labeled garage objects are interactive. You can operate the garage door and click the car, radio, television, toolbox, chair, oil, wax, and parts to trigger their assigned responses and sounds.
Why does the website change between day, sunset, and night?
The atmosphere follows the local time reported by your device:
- Day: 7:00 AM–4:59 PM
- Sunset: 5:00 PM–7:59 PM
- Night: 8:00 PM–6:59 AM
No location permission is used. The page checks the time every minute, and the sky elements fade away as you scroll into the lower sections.
How does the audio system work?
Audio begins off because browsers require a visitor interaction before playing sound. Select Audio On in the top bar, then use the garage controls.
Ambient audio loops quietly in the background. The radio has its own play-and-pause behavior. Garage effects use one shared player, so a new effect stops and resets the previous effect instead of stacking sounds.
How do the quote machine and meme wall work?
The quote machine randomly selects one complete line from the submitted 30-quote collection. It does not assemble or rewrite dialogue. The meme wall displays the images and animated GIFs stored in the site's meme folder.
Is the speed-test ping real?
Yes. HTTP RTT is the median response time from five uncached requests between your browser and this website. Browsers cannot send traditional ICMP pings. The Download and Upload values measured in “DANGS/SEC” are jokes, not real bandwidth measurements.
What does the visitor counter record?
It records an aggregate visitor total and uses a flag stored in your browser to avoid counting that browser repeatedly. The counter does not save names, IP addresses, or other personal information.
